Customer Success Account Manager [REMOTE]

Upbound builds the Intelligent Control Plane and is the primary maintainer of Crossplane, helping enterprises make infrastructure programmable and autonomous. They are hiring a commercially-minded Customer Success Account Manager to own post-sale relationships for Commercial customers, drive renewals and expansion, and partner with technical teams to ensure platform adoption and measurable customer value.

Skills

  • Proven renewal and expansion ownership with accurate forecasting
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder mapping skills
  • Commercially-minded with ability to build business cases for expansion
  • Technical curiosity about Kubernetes, Crossplane, and cloud-native infrastructure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication for executives and engineers
  • Experience creating and running QBRs and business reviews

Responsibilities

  • Own GRR and renewal outcomes for a portfolio of Commercial accounts, forecasting and resolving risks well ahead of renewal dates
  • Proactively identify and qualify expansion opportunities and collaborate with AEs to close upsells and multi-year deals
  • Build and maintain account maps, stakeholder relationships, and accurate health signals and risk flags
  • Lead regular touchpoints, QBRs, and business reviews that connect product progress to customer outcomes
  • Partner with Solution Architects, Support, and Solutions Engineering to remove adoption blockers and escalate product feedback
  • Develop customer advocates, references, and case studies to increase referencibility and advocacy

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
  • Relevant certifications or coursework in cloud-native technologies are a plus
