Director Clinical Client Success

AffirmedRx is a mission-driven pharmacy benefits management company focused on clarity, clinical rigor, and technology to improve healthcare outcomes. They are seeking an experienced PharmD to serve as the Director, Clinical Client Success — a senior clinical subject-matter expert who will provide strategic clinical guidance to client portfolios, partner closely with Client Success Partners, and help build a scalable Clinical Client Success function.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as senior clinical authority in client engagements, attending meetings alongside Client Success Partners and contributing clinical expertise without owning the relationship.
  • Develop pre-meeting clinical briefs, talking points, and data-driven insights to prepare CSPs for client discussions.
  • Translate complex clinical findings and formulary strategy into clear, executive-level recommendations that align with client goals.
  • Lead clinical analyses of pharmacy data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and convert insights into actionable client strategies.
  • Provide clinical narrative development and data validation for finalist and executive presentations.
  • Act as primary liaison between Formulary Strategy, Clinical Operations, and Client Success to ensure alignment of clinical policy and execution.
  • Oversee clinical program requirements including formulary optimization, utilization management, adherence initiatives, and specialty cost-containment.
  • Guide CSPs through clinical and benefit change requests ensuring clinical appropriateness, operational feasibility, and financial alignment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Pricing, PCA/UM, Clinical Programs, Reporting/Analytics and leadership to validate strategy before client communication.
  • Support development and scaling of a future Clinical Client Success team as the function grows.

Education

  • PharmD required
  • 10+ years clinical client management, PBM, or managed care clinical experience required
