Regional Sales Manager - Industrial Manufacturing - job 1 of 2

An established and growing manufacturing and production company seeking a driven and experienced Sales Manager to lead and expand their sales operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented professional to take ownership of a key revenue-generating function, build lasting client relationships, and contribute directly to the company's growth trajectory. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment, understands the nuances of B2B sales cycles, and has a proven track record of hitting and exceeding targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share within the manufacturing and production sector
  • Lead, coach, and performance-manage a sales team, fostering a high-performance and accountability-driven culture
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, trade shows, and industry events
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts,
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, production, and customer service teams to ensure seamless customer experience and delivery
  • Prepare and present accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance metrics to senior leadership
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms in alignment with company margin and profitability goals
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to inform product and sales strategy
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to close and post-sale account management

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience
  • Demonstrated experience selling within manufacturing, industrial, or production environments
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas in a B2B setting
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events (up to 50%)
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain, and production timelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with capital equipment, custom fabrication, or industrial components sales
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma environments
  • Existing network of contacts within the manufacturing or production industry
  • Experience managing national or multi-territory accounts

  • Base Salary: $72,000 – $96,000 per year, commensurate with experience
  • Performance Incentives: Competitive commission structure
