ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Staffing / Recruiting Assistant to join our team supporting the Pantex Plant! This position is full-time and will be based out of Amarillo, Texas with hybrid flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Assists management with the hiring process.

• Coordinates candidate interviews, scheduling candidate travel and onboarding process.

• Provides support to the Talent Acquisition team.

• Tracks requisitions and candidates, new employee orientation, and managing candidate relationships.

• Performs general personnel/clerical tasks and support areas such as employee records, benefits, staffing, and compensation.

• Maintains accurate employee data in the Applicate Tracking System (ATS) and Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP), and employee's official Human Resources (HR) records.

• Effectively interface with individuals of all levels of the organization.

Requirements

• Education & Years of Experience – High School Diploma and 2+ years of relevant experience.

• Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.

• Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.

• Must have prior experience coordinating candidate interviews, scheduling candidate travel, and onboarding process.

• Must be proficient with Application Tracking Systems (ATS) and SAP data processing.

• Must have excellent computer skills.

• Must be well organized and be a multi-tasker.

• Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

About the Site

The NNSA's Pantex Plant, located in Amarillo, Texas, assembles, disassembles, tests, and evaluates nuclear weapons in support of the NNSA stockpile stewardship program while also performing research and development in conventional high explosives and serving as an interim storage site for plutonium pits removed from dismantled weapons (energy.gov).
