Pivotal Health is the leading technology platform that helps healthcare providers get paid fairly in an increasingly complex reimbursement landscape.
Today, many providers face persistent underpayment from health insurance companies, despite delivering high-quality care. While processes like IDR (Independent Dispute Resolution) were designed to promote fairness, they’re often administrative-heavy, time-consuming, and difficult to navigate without the right tools.
Pivotal Health combines software, data, and service into a seamlessly integrated, AI-driven platform that simplifies these complex reimbursement workflows. We help providers efficiently dispute underpaid claims, reduce administrative burden, and recover the reimbursement they’re entitled to; without adding more work to already stretched teams.
Our full-service IDR solution is just the starting point. We’re building solutions that enable providers to operate with clarity, control, and confidence across the reimbursement journey.
We’re looking for a Technical Recruiter who knows how to build in ambiguity and move fast without lowering the bar.
This is not a “post and pray” role. You’ll own technical hiring end to end; from shaping the role with hiring managers to closing candidates who have options. Some searches will be highly specialized. Others will require pace and volume. You’ll need to know when to slow down and when to push.
You’ll operate as both a strategic partner and a hands-on builder, someone who can influence hiring decisions, bring real market insight to the table, and continuously improve how we hire as we scale.
If you’ve worked in agency recruiting, you’ll feel right at home here. We value urgency, accountability, and the ability to read a market.
This is a high-impact role with real ownership over how we build our technical teams.
Own technical hiring from start to finish: Run full-cycle recruiting across a range of technical roles and levels. Source proactively, build strong pipelines, and close exceptional talent.
Partner deeply with hiring managers: Help define role scope, calibrate expectations, shape interview processes, and drive alignment. You won’t just “take reqs” — you’ll help design them.
Bring real market insight: Provide data on talent pools, compensation trends, timelines, and competitive landscape. Help leaders understand trade-offs and make informed decisions.
Balance speed with bar: Operate with urgency while protecting quality. Know how to keep momentum without cutting corners.
Improve how we hire: Use data to identify bottlenecks, refine workflows, improve candidate experience, and evolve our recruiting strategy as the company grows.
Build scalable programs: Contribute to sourcing strategies, interview training, employer brand efforts, and other recruiting initiatives that increase leverage over time.
5+ years of recruiting experience, including meaningful time in an agency environment
Experience hiring technical roles across different functions and seniority levels
Comfortable operating in startup or high-growth environments
Strong sourcing instincts; you know how to build a pipeline from scratch
Confident influencing hiring managers and pushing back when needed
Data-informed but not data-paralyzed
Highly organized and able to manage multiple searches simultaneously
Resilient, accountable, and energized by building
Experience recruiting in early-stage or scaling startup environments (Seed through Series C)
Experience building or improving recruiting systems (interview design, workflows, tooling, hiring programs)
Exposure to broader people or talent programs (onboarding, employer brand, workforce planning, DEI, performance calibration)
Real ownership over how we hire: You won’t inherit a rigid recruiting machine. You’ll help shape how technical hiring works as we scale — from process design to talent strategy.
High visibility and influence: You’ll work directly with hiring leaders and executives. Your perspective will matter in how teams are built and how roles are defined.
Build in an early-stage environment: We’re still evolving. That means ambiguity — but it also means opportunity. If you enjoy building structure where it doesn’t exist yet, you’ll thrive here.
Quality over bureaucracy: We move quickly, but we care deeply about the bar. You’ll be empowered to push back, refine expectations, and protect candidate experience.
Meaningful impact: Every hire changes the trajectory of the company. The teams you help build will directly shape our product, platform, and growth.
We’re a collaborative, low-ego team on a mission to make healthcare reimbursement fairer for providers. While we primarily hire around our core hubs–Los Angeles and New York–we remain open to exceptional talent outside those regions. Remote and hybrid flexibility varies by role and team, and is outlined in each job description.
If you’re excited by solving complex problems and making a real-world impact, we’d love to hear from you.
Benefits Include:
Competitive compensation, including equity
Full health, dental, and vision coverage
Retirement savings plan through 401(k)
Flexible time off
Opportunities for company-wide connection and events
Ready to Make an Impact?
We’re building something meaningful; and we want you on the team.
Bring your ideas, curiosity, and drive, and let’s transform healthcare reimbursement together.
