Staff (NodeJS) Software Engineer
Skills
- Strong Node.js backend development and API design
- Experience with microservices and distributed/event-driven architectures
- Familiarity with messaging systems (NATS preferred, Kafka/RabbitMQ acceptable)
- Proficient with Git/GitHub and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in Agile delivery and consulting environments
- Solid communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills
- Understanding of cloud platforms and containerization (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor and technical leader for clients on backend architecture
- Design, build, and maintain scalable APIs and microservices using Node.js
- Contribute to event-driven and distributed system design (NATS or similar)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-quality solutions
- Mentor, train, and upskill Callibrity peers and client team members
- Align technical solutions to business goals and stakeholder requirements
- Promote best practices (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, Test Automation, TDD)
- Proactively identify technical risks and recommend maintainable solutions
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure consistent outcomes
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Equivalent professional experience in lieu of formal degree accepted
