Skills
- 5+ years software engineering experience with production Android apps
- Strong Kotlin knowledge including Coroutines and Flow
- Experience with dependency injection (Dagger 2) and MVVM/Clean Architecture
- Familiarity with Android background services, media/music player services, and animations
- Comfort writing and maintaining JUnit tests and other automated tests
- Good communication, product empathy, and user-oriented problem solving
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver major Android features end-to-end in collaboration with Design and Product
- Shape direction and growth of the Android team and engineering practices
- Maintain and improve reliability metrics and ensure production stability for key features
- Participate in cross-functional discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering
- Review pull requests, mentor teammates, and support code quality improvements
- Triage and resolve critical issues and provide nightly builds for QA
- Take ownership of release processes and feature rollouts
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Evidence of applied mobile engineering experience (apps, portfolios, or repositories)
