BillionToOne is a publicly traded, high-growth molecular diagnostics company building category-defining tests to improve prenatal and cancer care. We are seeking a People Operations Manager to scale core people programs, own benefits and vendor relationships, streamline HR operations, and drive data-informed improvements across our hybrid Menlo Park and Union City sites.

Responsibilities

  • Design, optimize, and scale core People Ops programs including onboarding, offboarding, performance cycles, engagement/recognition, and compliance.
  • Own benefits strategy and administration, managing broker and benefits vendor relationships and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Serve as program manager for performance cycles, driving end-to-end execution, stakeholder alignment, and continuous improvement.
  • Design and implement scalable processes and systems; identify operational gaps and lead efficiency initiatives.
  • Partner with Associate Director to operationalize strategic people initiatives such as recognition programs and engagement surveys.
  • Maintain policy and compliance knowledge, recommend updates to balance compliance and employee experience.
  • Act as Tier 2 escalation for complex employee inquiries, resolving issues independently and escalating only critical matters.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • HR certification (PHR/SPHR/SHRM) preferred but not required
