Skills
- Proven expertise in authentication/authorization (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML) and role-based access control.
- Deep experience designing and operating multi-tenant systems and tenant isolation patterns.
- Hands-on backend development proficiency in Python and modern frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, async Python).
- Experience with cloud-native architectures: Kubernetes, Terraform, containerized deployments, AWS/GCP.
- Design and operational experience with metering, billing, audit logging, and compliance workflows.
- Experience building APIs and SDKs consumed by external customers and third-party agents.
- Ability to prototype, debug production issues, and ship high-quality iterations quickly.
- Familiarity with agentic AI patterns, LLM tool-use architectures, or AI-native developer tooling (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Recruit, mentor, and grow a high-performing enterprise platform engineering team; foster a bias-for-action culture and ship iteratively.
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for multi-tenancy, SSO/RBAC, tenant admin consoles, metering/billing, audit logging, and data protection.
- Design and architect systems for high scale and tenant isolation that support 10x growth in tenants and API usage without re-platforming.
- Deliver production-ready enterprise features: SSO/SAML, RBAC, tenant provisioning, billing pipelines, auditability, and tenant data migrations.
- Drive adoption of agentic AI patterns to automate tenant operations, intelligent observability, and compliance workflows.
- Partner with product, design, security, sales, and customer success and engage directly with enterprise customers to gather requirements and validate solutions.
- Ensure reliability, availability, and security of enterprise-critical infrastructure and uphold high engineering quality standards.
- Represent Lila externally at conferences and through technical writing to evangelize enterprise platform work.
Education
- BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field (required)
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in relevant discipline considered a plus
