Director, Member Engagement Marketing

This leadership role sits at the intersection of consumer marketing, behavioral science, and digital health engagement, with responsibility for shaping how members discover, adopt, and continuously engage with a mental health and wellbeing platform. The position owns the full lifecycle strategy, from initial awareness through long-term retention, ensuring members receive timely, relevant, and personalized communications that drive meaningful behavior change. You will lead a high-performing lifecycle marketing team and collaborate closely with product, data, and clinical stakeholders to translate offerings into compelling, actionable member experiences. The role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a deep focus on data-driven optimization and experimentation. Operating in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, this leader will help define what best-in-class engagement looks like in digital health. The ultimate goal is to ensure members not only access care but stay actively engaged in their wellbeing journey.


Accountabilities:
  • Own the end-to-end member lifecycle strategy, including awareness, activation, engagement, retention, and re-engagement across the full member journey.
  • Design and execute omni-channel marketing programs (email, SMS, push, in-app) informed by behavioral science, segmentation, and personalization strategies.
  • Build and optimize automated lifecycle journeys using modern CRM and marketing automation platforms, continuously improving performance through testing and iteration.
  • Define and track engagement KPIs, using data insights to refine messaging, improve conversion, and increase long-term member engagement.
  • Partner with product, clinical, and data teams to translate new features and care offerings into impactful member-facing campaigns.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing member marketing team, establishing strong operating rhythms and a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Support product launches and market expansion initiatives with integrated engagement strategies that drive adoption and sustained usage.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, including significant focus on consumer or member lifecycle, engagement, or CRM marketing roles.
  • Proven experience leading and scaling marketing teams, including hiring, coaching, and driving performance in high-growth environments.
  • Deep expertise in CRM, marketing automation, segmentation, and personalization, with hands-on experience building complex consumer journeys.
  • Strong track record of improving acquisition, activation, and engagement metrics in a data-driven environment.
  • Experience applying behavioral science, motivation frameworks, or experimentation methodologies to marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled marketing tools and an interest in leveraging emerging technologies to improve personalization and efficiency.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience in digital health, wellness, or employee benefits is strongly preferred.
