1. Agents — Conversational AI assistants that use tools (integrations, workflows, code sandbox, MCP servers) to accomplish open-ended tasks. Unlike workflows that follow fixed paths, agents decide which tools to use and when, adapting based on context. Users configure agents with a system prompt, a model, and a set of tools. Agents can be deployed to a chat UI, Slack, or Microsoft Teams, and can run autonomously via scheduled or event-based triggers.
2. Workflows — Visual, drag-and-drop automations composed of connected nodes on a canvas. Each node is a discrete operation (call an API, run AI, read a spreadsheet, send an email). Workflows are deterministic and repeatable. They can be triggered manually, on a schedule, via webhook, or by external events (new email, Slack message, etc.). Workflows can also be attached to agents as callable tools — the agent orchestrates, the workflow executes.
3. Gumstack — Enterprise-grade MCP hosting, observability, and AI governance. Organizations provision managed MCP servers, control which AI models are available, audit every tool call, and enforce security policies across all agents and workflows.

Role Overview
We're hiring a Technical Sourcer to own the top of our recruiting funnel as we scale the engineering, research, and product teams building Gumloop. You'll be the first person candidates meet and the engine that keeps our pipelines full of exceptional talent. This role is for someone who loves the hunt and wants to shape a sourcing function from the ground up at a company that is already shipping to the world's best teams.
Own end-to-end sourcing strategy for our highest-priority roles across the company
Craft personalized, high-signal outreach that actually gets responses from passive, in-demand candidates
Partner directly with our founders and engineering leaders to translate technical requirements into precise search parameters
Track and optimize funnel metrics (response rate, conversion, time-to-hire) and continuously A/B test messaging and channels
Keep Ashby clean, organized, and the single source of truth for every candidate interaction
2 to 8 years of technical sourcing experience at a top-tier tech company
Proven track record sourcing for engineering talent with measurable funnel outcomes
Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, AI sourcing tools, and ATS platforms (Ashby, Gem, Greenhouse, or similar)
Excellent written communication skills. You can write outreach that sounds like a real person and gets replies
Comfort with ambiguity, high ownership, and the pace of an early-stage company
Genuine interest in AI, agents, and the next wave of enterprise software
Prior experience working in-house at an early-stage startup
Hands-on experience with Ashby as your primary ATS (pipeline management, automations, reporting)
Familiarity with modern sourcing tools like Juicebox, or Gem AI Sourcing
