GitLab is a public, global DevSecOps platform used by millions and hundreds of large enterprises to ship secure software faster. The company seeks an energetic Business Development Representative to execute outbound prospecting, generate qualified pipeline, and collaborate with field, marketing, sales, and customer success teams across the US and Canada.

Skills

  • Strong phone and written communication skills
  • High-volume prospecting and cadence execution
  • Experience with Salesforce, Outreach (or similar), and Sales Navigator
  • Ability to research accounts and perform targeted outreach
  • Time management, prioritization, and follow-through

Responsibilities

  • Execute multi-touch outbound prospecting cadences (call, email, social) to generate qualified meetings and pipeline
  • Generate new logo opportunities and growth opportunities in assigned territory
  • Conduct discovery conversations to qualify prospects and create Sales Accepted Opportunities (SAOs)
  • Track and report prospecting activities and pipeline accurately in Salesforce
  • Research and prioritize target accounts; develop tailored outreach strategies
  • Collaborate with Field, Digital Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams on campaigns and account lists
  • Attend regional marketing events to engage participants and drive SAOs
  • Document and improve BDR processes in the GitLab handbook and mentor new BDR hires

Education

  • No specific degree required; equivalent professional experience accepted
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not mandatory
