Director, Strategic Partnerships (New Verticals)

Flex is a growth-stage fintech building a better rent payment experience and empowering renters with more flexible payment options. We are seeking a Director, Strategic Partnerships (New Verticals) to own launch execution, drive partner adoption and revenue, and scale a team and playbook for launching partnerships in new industries.

Skills

  • Proven ability to launch and scale enterprise partnerships from zero to first transaction and beyond
  • Deep experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder external relationships and navigating executive-level engagements
  • Strong commercial instincts and analytical rigor for building business cases and modeling unit economics
  • Cross-functional leadership and influence to drive outcomes without direct authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for executive narratives, partner updates, and internal alignment
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward action to build process and clarity

Responsibilities

  • Own launch success end-to-end from contract close through first transaction, coordinating cross-functional launch plans and timelines
  • Manage day-to-day partner relationships as Flex’s primary point of contact and trusted advisor across executives, product, GTM, and operations
  • Define and run operating cadence: business reviews, QBRs, executive check-ins, dashboards, and governance frameworks
  • Monitor adoption, funnel metrics, and revenue; diagnose issues and drive joint optimizations and expansion opportunities
  • Drive technical integration and operational readiness by coordinating Product, Engineering, Analytics, Legal, Finance, and GTM teams
  • Identify execution risks early and resolve blockers to protect launch quality and timelines
  • Hire, develop, and scale a team of strategic account leaders and establish operating model, roles, and career paths
  • Create a repeatable launch and growth playbook and feed structured learnings back to BD, Product, and GTM

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Advanced degree (MBA or similar) preferred
