Skills
- Deep expertise in C++ or Rust in Linux development environments
- Experience with NixOS and embedded/physical device software
- Strong systems architecture and distributed systems experience
- Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and optimization
- Experience troubleshooting remotely deployed systems and dynamic network topologies
Responsibilities
- Own architecture, implementation, and sustainment of mission system software for Copperhead AUVs.
- Lead technical roadmap, define requirements with stakeholders, and drive cross-functional execution.
- Design, write, and maintain core libraries (frame transforms, targeting/guidance, communications).
- Develop and deploy embedded and distributed software running on deployed vehicles; troubleshoot remote systems.
- Organize integration events, manage feature rollouts to fleet, and ensure customer success.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and represent system capabilities to customers.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field (required)
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field (preferred)
