- Strong lab skills in rapid prototyping and opto-electrical test & measurement.
- Ability to decompose complex systems and define interfaces and requirements.
- Experience with field and flight test planning and execution.
- Clear written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Eligibility to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Define system architectures through trade studies and system-level analyses.
- Develop and validate physics-based radiometric and performance models.
- Derive requirements from model results and system trade-offs.
- Lead prototype sensor development and laboratory test campaigns.
- Plan and execute laboratory, ground, and flight experiments and demonstrations.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and mission teams to integrate and deliver systems.
- Model atmospheric and environmental effects for land, sea, and air targets.
- Validate models against laboratory and real-world data and communicate results to stakeholders.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field (minimum).
- Master's or PhD in a related field preferred for senior roles.
