Senior Motor Controls Engineer
Skills
- Classical control systems theory and application
- MATLAB & Simulink modeling and autocode workflows
- Low-level firmware development in C for embedded ARM platforms
- Experience with motor driver circuits, encoders, Hall sensors, and electric propulsion systems
- Familiarity with bus protocols (SPI, I2C, CAN, RS485) and embedded toolchains
- Strong hardware bring-up and instrumentation debugging skills
Responsibilities
- Design and implement motor control algorithms for precision actuators and electric propulsion
- Develop motor models and integrate them into SITL (software-in-the-loop) simulation environments
- Generate and integrate Simulink autocode with microcontroller C-based RTOS and application stacks
- Select components and contribute to PCB/product design and hardware bring-up
- Debug and validate motor drivers, encoders, sensors, and power electronics using oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers
- Support manufacturing transitions and operational deployments, including test plans and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (controls, firmware, hardware, systems) to deliver integrated solutions
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
