Responsibilities
- Collaborate with vehicle analysts to ensure design and manufacturing solutions meet vehicle requirements
- Develop production procedures and manage transition of parts/assemblies from development to high-rate production
- Coordinate and execute development, qualification, and acceptance testing for systems and tooling
- Implement design-for-manufacturability changes to improve production efficiency
- Create original 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for flight hardware and tooling
- Act as on-site design engineering contact to support efficient build of parts and assemblies
- Create and maintain build schedules and resolve manufacturing discrepancies with quality and production teams
- Participate in design reviews with internal teams, suppliers, and customers
- Source, evaluate, and advise vendors from a technical perspective
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (required)
- Master's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Materials, or Industrial Engineering (preferred)
