Responsibilities
- Define long-term vision, strategy, and roadmaps for multiple core hardware subsystems.
- Synthesize diverse internal customer needs into cohesive product definitions and recommend standardization vs. variants.
- Authorship of detailed Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) including mechanical, electrical, environmental, and performance specs.
- Prioritize features and trade-offs balancing innovation, manufacturability, cost, reliability, and scalability.
- Develop demand aggregation, TAM, business cases, and ROI analyses for new core hardware initiatives.
- Engage product teams to accelerate internal adoption and identify external customer fit and partnerships.
- Assess market opportunities, perform competitive analysis, and collaborate with Business Units for go-to-market alignment.
- Pursue relevant government RFPs, grants, and alternative funding sources in coordination with capture and engineering teams.
- Communicate product vision, risks, dependencies, and integration pathways to stakeholders and engineering leadership.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, product, or related technical field preferred
- Advanced degree (MS/MBA) is a plus but not required
