Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain data collection pipelines (web scraping and other sources)
- Architect and build server-side systems and well-functioning databases
- Develop and maintain reliable, documented APIs
- Test software for responsiveness, scalability, and efficiency
- Collaborate with product managers, mission teams, and analysts to iterate on features
- Write technical documentation and operational runbooks
- Make pragmatic trade-offs to balance simplicity, scalability, and mission impact
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Relevant on-the-job experience in backend or data engineering roles
