Skills
- 5+ years backend production development experience
- Experience with agent engineering and LLM-powered products
- Proficiency with Python or comparable backend frameworks
- Experience with transactional databases (Postgres) and caching (Redis)
- Familiarity with high-scale architectural patterns and production observability
- Strong testing practices and focus on maintainable code
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving AI landscapes
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and scale backend services for the in-app Jade agent
- Build and lead development of tooling: eval frameworks, conversation review tools, and guardrail systems
- Develop and maintain model routing, prompt management, and evaluation pipelines
- Improve system reliability via performance tuning and architectural enhancements
- Create observability and monitoring for production AI features
- Participate in code reviews, maintain high code quality, and mentor teammates
- Partner cross-functionally to identify member pain points and deliver secure, scalable solutions
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent practical experience
- Continued learning in AI/ML or software engineering through courses or hands-on projects preferred
