Customer Success Manager - job 1 of 13

Wholesail is a fast-moving fintech startup modernizing payments, credit, and reconciliation for the wholesale trade market by integrating ERPs and automating manual workflows. We are seeking a Customer Success Manager to own a complex book of accounts, drive customer outcomes, surface product feedback, and leverage AI/automation thinking to scale value for sophisticated customers.

Skills

  • 3-5+ years in SaaS customer success or account management with enterprise or high-value customers
  • Experience working with ERPs or integrations (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage/Entree)
  • Strong business acumen and comfort interfacing with finance leaders (Controllers, CFOs)
  • Clear, structured written and verbal communication
  • Ability to analyze operational/accounting workflows and recommend practical improvements
  • Curiosity about AI/automation and a pragmatic approach to applying new tools

Responsibilities

  • Own a book of accounts and drive financial and retention outcomes for customers
  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Onboarding teams to prioritize customer needs and expand value
  • Lead executive-level conversations with Controllers, CFOs, and operators to align on outcomes
  • Perform deep discovery to uncover operational and accounting root causes and recommend solutions
  • Manage escalations independently and create structured mitigation plans for churn risk
  • Advocate customer feedback to product and engineering teams and influence roadmap priorities
  • Leverage AI and automation tools to streamline internal workflows and identify patterns across accounts

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Background in business, finance, accounting, or related field preferred
