Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and implement secure, scalable AI platforms, gateways, and proxy systems used across the company
- Own platform initiatives end-to-end: strategy, implementation, testing, deployment, and long-term evolution
- Onboard new frontier models and integrate multiple model providers and cloud compute backends
- Expand and orchestrate compute resources for high-volume AI workloads
- Optimize proxy systems for performance, logging, control, and security
- Build tools for risk mitigation (AI-powered code review, PR automation, safety guardrails)
- Define and evangelize best practices for lean, secure applied AI and platform usage
- Mentor and enable engineers through documentation, training, and hands-on support
- Collaborate with ML researchers, security, and operations to meet cross-functional requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related engineering discipline OR equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years professional experience building production software (or 7+ years in lieu of a degree)
- Familiarity with platform, MLOps, or large-scale backend systems
Benefits
- Base salary range: $160,000 - $225,000 per year
