Sr. RFIC Design Engineer (Silicon Engineering)
Skills
- Hands-on RF/analog IC design and simulation experience
- Proficiency with RF simulation tools (Spectre, ADS, HFSS, Momentum)
- Experience with RF transceiver architectures and microwave frequency design
- Familiarity with lab test equipment (spectrum analyzer, VSA, VSG, network analyzer)
- IC layout and parasitic/package modeling experience
- Ability to characterize radio performance at Ku/Ka/K bands
Responsibilities
- Design, simulate, and model RF/analog/mixed-signal circuits and subsystems
- Derive specifications and partition functions with system, modem/DSP and ASIC teams
- Develop RF/analog circuits in SiGe or CMOS processes (amplifiers, mixers, PLLs, modulators)
- Perform IC floor planning and layout considerations for RF performance
- Model package and external parasitic components and impacts
- Evaluate and characterize prototype ICs and full radio performance
- Develop and support automated test lab equipment and test procedures
- Work with manufacturing engineers on production testing and qualification
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (required)
- Master's degree or PhD in EE/CE with RF/analog emphasis (preferred)
