- PCB layout and routing for mixed-signal, RF, and power systems
- Layer stackup, component selection, and impedance control
- DFM/DFA/DFT and PCB fabrication process expertise
- Experience with Mentor Xpedition and/or Altium Designer
- ECAD library management and configuration control
- High-speed design experience (FPGA, DRAM, CPUs, transmission lines)
- Power electronics layout (DC-DC, converters, power traces)
- Scripting/automation for PCB workflows
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional communication
- ITAR eligibility / ability to obtain required authorizations
Responsibilities
- Hire, lead, and mentor a team of PCB designers and define growth plans
- Set priorities, scope, and objectives for PCB design projects
- Review and guide projects to meet cost, performance, and schedule targets
- Define layer stackups, perform component package selection and placement
- Perform routing feasibility studies and signal routing for digital, analog, RF, and power systems
- Create and release fabrication and assembly documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams and PCB vendors to improve design rules and DFM/DFT/DFx guidelines
- Standardize documentation releases and electronic data management processes
- Maintain, evaluate, and train team members on PCB ECAD tools and automation
Education
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (required)
- Relevant coursework or training in electronics, PCB design, or RF engineering
