- Comfort with UNIX-like systems and automation/configuration tools
- Experience with messaging/streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.) and relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
- Ability to profile and improve application performance
Responsibilities
- Design and implement reliable, production-grade full-stack applications used across SpaceX
- Create prototypes to validate designs and quantify technical constraints
- Own software engineering lifecycle: architecture, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deeply understand user problems and deliver efficient solutions
- Participate in architecture and code reviews, and continuously improve system performance and scalability
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related scientific discipline OR equivalent professional software development experience (2+ years)
