Skills
- 5+ years full-stack development experience
- Production experience with Ruby on Rails (preferred)
- Modern JavaScript frontend experience (React, MUI or similar)
- Designing and developing RESTful APIs
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and search systems (Elasticsearch)
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and tools
- Testing, debugging, and safe deployment practices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end features from definition through design, development, testing, and deployment
- Prototype quickly and iterate using rapid feedback loops
- Architect and evolve core infrastructure across frontend and backend
- Design and implement REST APIs and backend services
- Debug, test, and maintain production code with an emphasis on safety and speed
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to increase productivity and explore new solutions
- Mentor teammates and promote a collaborative engineering culture
- Participate in incident response and drive root-cause fixes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business problems into technical solutions
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent practical experience
