Skills
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and systems thinking
- 4+ years building software using languages such as C++, Python, Go, Rust, Java, or JavaScript
- Experience with Linux and/or Nix/NixOS
- Experience integrating software with hardware platforms and sensors
- Experience building scalable solutions on edge infrastructure
- Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex, established codebases
- Customer-focused, data-driven approach and experience with AGILE execution
- Willingness to travel to support field integration and deployments
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver areas of the ECC software solution from concept through fielding
- Design and implement scalable software systems deployed at the tactical edge
- Write high-quality code to extend product features and improve mission capability
- Collaborate with product, hardware, SRE, operations, and business teams to integrate complex functionality
- Create and analyze telemetry and metrics for debugging and monitoring
- Triage incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate remediation
- Engage with end-users to translate operational needs into features while balancing constraints
- Travel to field sites (up to ~30%) to build, test, and deploy capabilities
- Brief internal and external leadership on technical status and outcomes
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent experience
- Advanced degree in related field preferred but not required
