Engagement Manager

Meridian is a minority-owned, 9-time Inc. 5000 honoree that helps public-sector and commercial clients modernize ERP and Workday investments. We are seeking an experienced, client-focused Workday Engagement Manager to lead full-cycle HCM, Payroll, and Financials implementations for state and local government clients, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned to Meridian’s delivery framework.

Skills

  • Workday Partner Project Management Certification (required)
  • Minimum 5+ years of Workday full-cycle implementation experience
  • 3+ years as an Engagement Manager/Project Manager in public sector managing concurrent Workday deployments
  • Deep knowledge of Workday delivery methodology, governance, and best practices
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
  • Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, and risk management skills
  • Ability to work East Coast hours and travel domestically up to 30%
  • U.S. work authorization without sponsorship, now or in the future

Responsibilities

  • Act as primary client liaison and trusted advisor for executive stakeholders across the engagement lifecycle
  • Drive strategic discussions on objectives, success metrics, and long-term roadmap alignment
  • Oversee program planning, resourcing, financial management, and risk mitigation for Workday implementations
  • Apply Meridian’s Workday Delivery Framework (MDF) and delivery methodology to ensure consistent execution
  • Facilitate steering committee meetings, executive status updates, and issue/risk reviews
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams including Solution Leads, Functional Consultants, and Technical Specialists
  • Ensure deliverables meet internal quality standards and contractual obligations
  • Manage scope, schedule, and budget through proactive change and risk control
  • Support pre-sales activities (RFP responses, scoping, estimation) and identify expansion opportunities
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of delivery practices

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
