Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Skills
- 5+ years building and operating large-scale, cloud-native systems (SRE/DevOps/Infrastructure).
- Deep production experience with Kubernetes (controllers, CRDs, Helm/Kustomize, autoscaling, security contexts).
- Experience managing IaC at scale (Terraform).
- Strong software engineering skills in Java or Python; ability to read and extend other languages.
- Production experience with Elasticsearch, AWS, and container-based deployments.
Responsibilities
- Design, operate, and evolve EKS clusters to ensure secure, performant, and consistent multi-region Kubernetes deployments.
- Identify and remediate cost and waste across storage and compute resources.
- Automate Elasticsearch cluster management including shard management, retention policies, indexing, and cross-cluster rebalancing.
- Manage and scale Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) for production environments.
- Collaborate with SRE, Product, Design, and other engineering teams to drive cross-team infrastructure initiatives.
- Mentor engineers, influence engineering culture, and lead reliability-focused projects.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
