Business Development Manager - Central

We are a pre-IPO climate-tech company headquartered in Austin, TX, commercializing breakthrough motor technology with strong customer traction and major OEM partnerships. We are scaling our go-to-market team and seek a Business Development Manager to drive specification and procurement in the Central US across data centers, healthcare, and high-tech manufacturing.

Skills

  • Strategic account planning and consultative selling
  • Proven experience closing large, complex enterprise deals
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical contracting, and facility operations
  • Ability to manage long sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
  • Executive-level influence and relationship building
  • CRM proficiency and pipeline forecasting
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute account plans targeting data centers, healthcare, and high-tech manufacturing (hyper scalers, colocation providers, design/build firms).
  • Identify and engage decision-makers (owners, developers, facility engineers, design consultants) to create demand and specifications for Infinitum motors.
  • Influence mechanical and electrical design teams to specify Infinitum motors as basis of design for new construction and upgrades.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships to drive long-term partnerships, recurring revenue, and accelerate buying decisions.
  • Collaborate with engineering firms, OEM partners, and design consultants to create product preference.
  • Own the commercial relationship and account strategy from initial engagement through specification and procurement.
  • Partner with Application Engineers to ensure technical alignment and seamless integration into design documentation.
  • Represent the company at industry events, technical working groups, and strategic customer meetings.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline forecasts, and reporting on specification progress and wins.
  • Monitor competitive landscape, market dynamics, and customer roadmaps to identify specification timing opportunities.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent experience in technical sales or business development accepted
