Business Development Lead, Care Partnerships

Headway is building a new, accessible mental healthcare system by removing administrative and insurance barriers for providers and patients. The Care Partnerships BD team is scaling behavioral health referral infrastructure across U.S. health systems; we're seeking a Business Development Lead to own mid-market health system opportunities end-to-end, build Director+ relationships, and drive launches with cross-functional partners.

Skills

  • 5+ years full-cycle business development or sales experience in healthcare or health tech
  • Proven track record selling into health systems, clinics, or provider organizations
  • Strong relationship-building skills with Director+ stakeholders
  • Ability to own pipeline end-to-end: prospecting, qualifying, pitching, and closing
  • Strategic thinker who is also scrappy and comfortable with outbound outreach
  • Clear, concise communicator able to present Headway's value with credibility
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior sellers/BDRs

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive mid-market health system opportunities from first touch through successful launch
  • Build and maintain relationships with Director+ care management, population health, and clinical operations leaders
  • Run outbound prospecting and manage inbound leads across assigned territory
  • Develop account strategies focused on long-term adoption and sustainable referrals
  • Support Associate Principals with research, prep, and account coverage on larger enterprise deals
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Partner Success, Product, and Operations to ensure smooth launches and adoption

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
  • Background in healthcare, business, public health, or related fields is a plus
  • Relevant on-the-job training or certifications in sales or healthcare operations acceptable
