National Casualty Practice - SVP Senior Broker

EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants is a fast-growing national insurance brokerage with over 3,000 employees and a values-driven, collaborative culture. The National Casualty Practice - SVP Senior Broker will focus on specialized placement of casualty risk for large, complex commercial clients, manage client and carrier relationships, mentor junior colleagues, and support business growth from EPIC's Atlanta hybrid office.

  • Strong negotiation and underwriting placement skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability
  • Client relationship management and service orientation
  • Familiarity with international placements and global broker networks
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (~20%)

Responsibilities

  • Lead specialized placement of casualty risk for large, complex commercial accounts
  • Manage client relationships and deliver high-quality service and stewardship
  • Create and submit renewal specifications, negotiate terms, and present marketing results
  • Review quotes, binders, policies, endorsements and ensure accuracy before client delivery
  • Coordinate international placements with global broker network
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with underwriting partners
  • Oversee production of renewal strategies, presentations, and stewardship reports
  • Support prospecting efforts with capability presentations and RFP responses
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and deploy Risk Consulting Services
  • Mentor and manage less experienced casualty colleagues and support practice growth
  • Assist with contract/coverage reviews and gap analysis
  • Manage billing, certificates of insurance, and routine client account needs

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, risk management, insurance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Professional insurance designations (e.g., CPCU, ARM) preferred
