Apollo is seeking a high-potential professional to join the Transformation team as the AI Edge Lead, responsible for advancing the firm’s enterprise AI strategy. The Edge Program incubates AI-fluent, transformation-oriented talent who partner with business and engineering teams to deliver mission-critical AI initiatives. This role will drive the adoption of next-generation AI capabilities—including generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and intelligent automation—to enhance investment decision-making, operational efficiency, and client outcomes.
The AI Edge Lead will work closely with investment professionals, product and engineering teams, and senior business leaders to identify high-impact opportunities, deploy scalable AI solutions, and foster a culture of innovation and responsible AI adoption across Apollo.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead AI-Driven Transformation: Design and execute enterprise AI initiatives leveraging generative AI, large language models (LLMs), machine learning (ML), natural language processing (NLP), and intelligent automation to reimagine end-to-end business processes.
AI Product Delivery: Oversee the development and deployment of AI-enabled products and platforms, from ideation and proof-of-concept through scalable production implementation.
Agentic and Automation Solutions: Champion the use of agentic AI frameworks, copilots, and autonomous workflows to enhance productivity across investment, risk, operations, and client-facing functions.
Value Creation & Benefit Realization: Lead business case development, ROI modeling, and value-tracking frameworks to quantify the impact of AI transformation initiatives.
Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with investment teams, engineering, data science, and product leaders to translate complex business challenges into scalable AI-enabled solutions.
AI Governance & Responsible AI: Promote best practices in AI governance, model risk management, and ethical AI adoption, ensuring compliance with regulatory and enterprise standards.
Change Leadership: Serve as a connector between technical teams and business stakeholders, driving adoption, training, and change management to ensure successful AI implementation.
Executive Communication: Prepare and deliver strategic insights and executive-level presentations highlighting AI trends, opportunities, and business outcomes.
Knowledge Development: Develop AI playbooks, frameworks, and best practices to scale AI literacy and innovation across Apollo’s global platform.
Market & Technology Intelligence: Continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies, tools, and industry trends to inform Apollo’s AI roadmap and maintain competitive advantage.
Qualifications & Experience
6–8+ years of experience in AI/ML product management, data science, engineering, or transformation roles within financial services, consulting, or technology organizations.
Demonstrated expertise in modern AI technologies, including generative AI, large language models (LLMs), machine learning, and automation platforms.
Proven experience leading enterprise-scale AI initiatives and managing cross-functional teams across business, technology, and data functions.
Strong understanding of AI solution architecture, data engineering pipelines, and model deployment in production environments.
Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
Experience partnering with senior stakeholders to define AI strategies and deliver measurable outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
Preferred
Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PhD) in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in financial services, alternative asset management, or capital markets, particularly in investment, risk, or portfolio management domains.
Familiarity with modern AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, or similar).
Experience with cloud-based AI platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), MLOps, and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), knowledge graphs, and enterprise data platforms.
Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies and product-centric operating models.
Pay Range

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance.
