Software Engineer -Drone Stack (C++)
Skills
- Proficient in C++ development and modular autonomy code integration
- Experience with Pixhawk autopilots (ArduPilot and/or PX4) and UAS integration
- Familiarity with communication buses and protocols (UART/RS232/RS422/RS485, SPI, I2C, Ethernet)
- Experience with Linux-based systems, Docker, and containerized deployments
- Knowledge of SIL/HIL processes and real-time/edge computing constraints
- Version control and tooling experience (git, GitLab, VS Code)
Responsibilities
- Integrate autonomy software with sensors, autopilots, datalinks, and PNT/GPS/INS on UAS platforms
- Deploy and validate autonomy capabilities in SIL, HIL, and live flight test environments
- Troubleshoot hardware-software integration issues and optimize system reliability
- Collaborate with autonomy engineers, DoD domain experts, and third-party UAS vendors for OEM integration
- Configure and maintain containerized deployment environments and edge compute platforms
- Conduct system-level setup, testing, and validation for flight demonstrations and customer delivery
Education
- BS or MS in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related engineering field
