Skills
- 7+ years professional embedded software/firmware experience
- Strong Rust proficiency for embedded (no_std, embedded-hal)
- Hands-on experience with MCU peripherals (SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet) and common data buses
- Familiarity with reproducible build systems and configuration management
- Experience with hardware/software debugging and test methodologies
Responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded firmware and device drivers for microcontroller peripherals and external ICs
- Develop bootloaders and secure OTA update mechanisms for fielded devices
- Build deterministic, reproducible firmware builds and maintain configuration/traceability for deployments
- Create Linux-side CLI tools (Rust) for calibration, deployment, and diagnostics
- Test across unit, SITL, HITL, and system-level methodologies to validate firmware behavior
- Use software and hardware debugging tools (probe-rs, OpenOCD, GDB/LLDB, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes) to diagnose and resolve issues
- Collaborate with electrical, RF, and FPGA/PL engineers on register interfaces and HW/SW integration
- Apply modern software construction techniques to rapidly iterate and deploy capabilities to customers
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field OR equivalent professional experience
