The HR Generalist plays a critical role in onboarding and orientation execution, as well as preparing for and supporting regulatory body surveys and audits.

  • Partner with clinical leadership to ensure clinicians are onboarded efficiently and transitioned to active caseloads as quickly as possible
  • Track and monitor onboarding progress, ensuring completion of all required training, credentials, and documentation prior to patient care delivery
  • Identify onboarding gaps and continuously improve processes to enhance new hire experience and reduce time-to-productivity
  • Ensure onboarding and orientation processes meet regulatory and audit requirements

Compliance & Regulatory Support

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and home health regulatory requirements
  • Partner with clinical leadership to track and maintain required licensure, certifications, and training compliance
  • Support readiness for regulatory surveys (e.g., state health departments, accrediting bodies) by conducting audits, maintaining documentation, and addressing gaps proactively
  • Assist in responding to survey findings, corrective action plans, and ongoing compliance monitoring
  • Maintain working knowledge of home health regulations, including Conditions of Participation (CoPs) and state-specific requirements

Talent & Workforce Support

  • Partner with recruiting and hiring managers to support staffing needs and ensure seamless transition from candidate to onboarded employee

  • Support training initiatives and onboarding-related education for leaders

HR Data & Reporting

  • Maintain HRIS data integrity and generate reports related to compliance, onboarding metrics, and workforce data
  • Conduct regular audits of personnel files, onboarding documentation, and required compliance records

Education & Experience
