Customer Success Engineer

Algolia is a market leader in AI-powered search and discovery, serving thousands of customers and powering billions of weekly search requests. The company is hiring a Customer Success Engineer to drive technical adoption and implementation, providing consulting, workshops, solution design, and hands-on support to ensure customers achieve scalable, performant search experiences.

Skills

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (JavaScript, Java, PHP, C#, Swift, Ruby, Python)
  • Experience with REST APIs, web development, and database concepts
  • Ability to design and run technical workshops (training, KT, code review)
  • Strong verbal and written communication for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Time management, prioritization, and situational urgency evaluation
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites when required

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical onboarding and hands-on implementation support for assigned accounts
  • Scope, design, and deliver technical workshops and training tailored to customer needs
  • Advise on best practices for search implementation, optimization, and architecture
  • Partner with Customer Success Managers to ensure long-term customer health and adoption
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to become a subject-matter expert and escalate product issues
  • Maintain clear documentation, case status reports, and stakeholder communication
  • Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks and performance bottlenecks
  • Recommend environment and configuration optimizations to improve performance and scalability

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred or equivalent practical experience
  • Relevant certifications or demonstrated hands-on experience with web/dev tooling welcomed
