Support Engineer

Aerospike is a real-time database used by global leaders for mission-critical, low-latency workloads including machine learning and real-time AI applications. We are seeking a hands-on Support Engineer to diagnose and resolve complex issues across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments, collaborate with Engineering and client services, and help customers run Aerospike at scale.

Skills

  • Deep proficiency with Linux administration and troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems and high-availability architectures
  • Hands-on experience with NoSQL or similar database platforms
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
  • Experience diagnosing complex performance and reliability issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for customers across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments
  • Collaborate with Engineering on root cause analysis and long-term fixes
  • Participate in real-time remediation and live incident response
  • Act as a customer advocate to ensure timely and accurate issue resolution
  • Support enterprise customers with mission-critical systems and real-time data use cases
  • Assist with new deployments, configuration guidance, and performance tuning
  • Write and maintain high-quality documentation and Knowledge Base articles
  • Contribute to a collaborative, agile, and globally distributed support team
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours, holiday, and weekend coverage

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
