We are seeking a Higher Ed Field Sales Specialist to promote our language learning products to colleges and universities in the Pacific Northwest territory. This role requires building strong relationships and delivering engaging presentations while achieving sales quotas.

liETtVLaARqgmMEbYzHNNLIzUPcdfPrwhYtVK7Qa.png Skills: Strong consultative sales and account management skills, technology orientation, excellent organizational and planning skills, and strong relationship building and negotiation skills.

liETtVLaARqgmMEbYzHNNLIzUPcdfPrwhYtVK7Qa.png Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 2-3+ years of experience in ed-tech, language learning, or publishing; familiarity with Salesforce.com is preferred and proficiency in a second language is a plus.

WHAT’S THIS ROLE ABOUT?As the Field Sales Representativefor our Pacific Northwest territory,you'llbe a key member of the Higher Education team responsible for promoting VHL’s print and digital language products to colleges and universities across your assigned territory.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Manage and grow an assigned territory by closing business consistently to achieve sales quotas
  • Establish andmaintainstrong partnerships with key higher education professionalsto develop a strong understanding of customer needs
  • Deliver impactful and engaging digital andlive presentationsthatshowcasehow oursolutionscan help solve their challenges andachieve learning outcomes
  • Partner with sales support team members to meet customer needs
  • Ensure data accuracy in our CRM and other tools through consistentutilizationfor effective territory analysis,planningand account management

YOU MUST HAVE(MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum
  • 2-3+ years of experience inaconsultativesales, business development or account management role within the education technology (ed-tech), languagelearningor publishing industry
  • Strong technology orientation and experience presenting and/or doing demonstrations to a variety of audiences in-person and virtually
  • Excellent organizational and strategic planning skills
  • Excellent relationship building, prospecting, territory building, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Experience using a CRM to manage sales activities and accounts
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%-70% depending on the need and time of year to industry events, customer locations throughout the territoryand company meetings

IDEAL IF YOU HAVE(PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE):

  • Experience in Higher Educationor VHL product familiarity
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com
  • Proficiencyin Spanish, German, French or Italian
  • Advanced degree

LOCATION: Remote – area of Raleigh or Charlotte, NC

Candidate mustresidewithin the United States and within or near the city of Raleigh, Charlotte, North Carolina. Relocation is not available for this position.

SALARY:$60k-$70kannual salary range

This position is salaried and is eligible for sales incentives based on employee and organizational performance.Salary may be based on candidate qualifications and geography.
