Skills
- Deep experience with distributed systems and production infrastructure.
- Proficiency with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
- Experience operating streaming platforms (Kafka) and large-scale batch processing (Spark).
- Strong observability and CI/CD experience (monitoring, alerting, Prometheus, Grafana, pipelines).
- Programming experience in system languages (Go, Python, or similar) and infrastructure as code.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate production infrastructure: Kubernetes clusters, Kafka streaming, Spark batch jobs, observability, and deployment tooling.
- Create golden paths, abstractions, and developer tooling to accelerate product teams and reduce cognitive load.
- Own reliability: implement monitoring, alerting, incident response, and post-incident improvements to maintain uptime and correctness.
- Drive platform architecture and technical direction across the organization and mentor other engineers.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Advanced degree preferred but not required; equivalent hands-on experience accepted.
