Associate Vice President - Client Development

Focus Partners Wealth (FPW), part of Focus Financial Partners, is seeking an Associate Vice President, Client Development to drive new-client acquisition among affluent and high-net-worth prospects. The role focuses on full-cycle business development — prospecting, pitching FPW’s fiduciary, planning-led value proposition, closing new clients, and partnering with advisors to ensure a seamless onboarding and client experience. Ideal candidates are proactive hunters with strong communication skills, sales acumen, Salesforce proficiency, and a track record of building a consistent pipeline.

Skills

  • 5+ years of client-facing or financial services sales experience
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales/AUM growth targets
  • Strong verbal and written communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms; workflow/configuration experience a plus
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and a complex sales pipeline
  • Ability to persuasively position fiduciary financial planning and investment solutions

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and win new affluent and high-net-worth clients through outbound outreach, COIs, events, and partnerships
  • Own the full sales cycle from initial meeting through signed agreement and onboarding
  • Build and manage a high-quality, self-sustaining pipeline focused on AUM growth
  • Position FPW’s planning-led, fiduciary value proposition and craft customized proposals
  • Partner closely with advisors and specialists to coordinate proposals and transition clients post-close
  • Capture and share market feedback and prospect insights to refine outreach and offerings

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CFP, CFA) preferred but not required
