Sales Engineer

tvScientific is a CTV advertising platform built for performance marketers that unifies media buying, optimization, measurement, and attribution. We’re seeking a Sales Engineer to act as the technical partner across the sales cycle—scoping integrations, validating implementations, troubleshooting data flows, and ensuring clients are set up for long-term success.

Skills

  • 3+ years in a technical client-facing role (Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales, TAM)
  • Deep understanding of digital media and CTV advertising ecosystems
  • Hands-on experience with tracking technologies: pixels, SDKs, server-to-server postbacks, APIs, tag managers
  • Strong debugging skills with logs, network requests, and data validation tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and operate independently

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical expert during the sales cycle and collaborate closely with Sales to design and validate client integrations.
  • Lead discovery conversations to capture client requirements around pixels, SDKs, server-to-server postbacks, APIs, and reporting.
  • Recommend measurement, attribution, and reporting solutions tailored to each client’s business goals and technical environment.
  • Troubleshoot implementation issues related to event firing, data flow, attribution, and reporting accuracy using logs and network traces.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, client-friendly explanations to build trust and accelerate deal confidence.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to relay client needs, document integration patterns, and improve the platform.
  • Document best practices, implementation guides, and integration patterns for internal teams and clients.
  • Stay current on ad tech, programmatic advertising, privacy changes, and measurement best practices to inform recommendations.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field or equivalent practical experience
  • Ongoing professional learning in ad tech, analytics, or related areas preferred
