Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Back-end Engineer (Python) to join a high-impact engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate across teams to build and enhance scalable products, contribute to architectural decisions, and act as a technical partner to product stakeholders. Responsibilities
Develop new products and features using modern backend technologies
Collaborate closely with QA to ensure product quality through test-driven development (TDD)
Contribute to planning, design, and requirement discussions within your scrum team
Review code, participate in pair programming, and promote best practices
Drive architectural decisions and propose solutions for complex technical challenges
Improve performance, scalability, and maintainability of existing systems
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
7+ years of professional software development experience, including 2+ years with Python
Strong experience with Python frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI
Hands-on experience with OpenAPI and SQLAlchemy
Solid knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Redshift, etc.)
Experience designing and building scalable APIs and systems
Strong refactoring and code quality practices
Experience working in Linux/Unix environments
Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
Experience mentoring other engineers
