Sales Manager - Mortgage Lending

We are a nationwide housing platform rapidly expanding our mortgage operation with a focus on non‑QM products (DSCR, bridge/RTL, fix‑and‑flip and consumer loans). We seek an experienced, results‑driven Sales Manager to lead a team of inbound Loan Officers, drive origination volume, instill a high‑performance sales culture, and execute aggressive growth targets in a metrics‑driven environment.

Skills

  • Proven mortgage sales management experience, preferably with inbound/telesales teams.
  • Deep knowledge of non‑QM products: DSCR, bridge/RTL, fix‑and‑flip and consumer programs.
  • Strong sales coaching, team leadership and performance management skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM and LOS platforms (Salesforce preferred).
  • Familiarity with mortgage compliance and licensing (RESPA, TILA, NMLS).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical ability to track KPIs and optimize funnel performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and motivate a team of 8–10 inbound Loan Officers to meet and exceed origination targets and KPIs.
  • Own inbound lead management strategy: speed‑to‑lead, call cadence, routing and conversion playbooks.
  • Develop and implement scripts, workflows, and playbooks tailored to investors, self‑employed borrowers, and fix‑and‑flip clients.
  • Train and coach Loan Officers on sales execution, loan structuring, deal qualification and pipeline management.
  • Monitor funnel performance (contact → application → funded), identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and present performance reporting and actionable insights to senior management.
  • Ensure origination activities comply with federal and state mortgage regulations (RESPA, TILA) and licensing requirements.
  • Own CRM workflows, lead routing, follow‑up standards and disciplined pipeline management to prevent lead leakage.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, tech and customer service to improve borrower experience and business outcomes.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field preferred
  • Relevant industry certifications or mortgage licensing (NMLS) preferred
