- Experience with debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing
- Familiarity with embedded systems and common processors (ARM, PowerPC, x86)
- Ability to design and work within secure, reliable distributed systems
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and operate software that controls and coordinates hundreds of satellites in low Earth orbit
- Improve constellation performance, security, and availability through software design and optimization
- Own features end-to-end: requirements, prototyping, development, testing, on-orbit rollout, and operational support
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate sensors, inter-satellite links, and space-based compute capabilities
- Develop tools and automation for testing across virtualized, hardware-in-the-loop, and vehicle-in-the-loop environments
- Build networking, command-and-control, simulation, and CI/CD systems to support frequent, reliable software deployment
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a scientific discipline OR
- Minimum 2+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of degree
