- Software engineering in system-level languages (Python, C++, Go)
- Applied cryptography and cryptographic service design
- Operating system and secure/authenticated boot security
- Network security and familiarity with TCP/IP and UDP-based protocols
- Experience with security hardware (TPM, HSM) and embedded systems
- Incident response, adversary detection, and vulnerability research
- Ability to work across abstraction levels and communicate clearly with other teams
Responsibilities
- Design and build security infrastructure and cryptographic services for Starlink
- Develop security features for routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites
- Design security into factory processes and support related network services
- Maintain and improve production security systems and provide recommendations to engineering teams
- Build prototypes, test security improvements, and conduct vulnerability analysis
- Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate security into large, complex systems
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another STEM field OR 2+ years of professional security software development experience in lieu of a degree
- Advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline preferred
