Skills
- Strong experience with a compiled language (Golang or Java).
- Proficiency in relational databases (PostgreSQL): schema design and query optimization.
- Experience building API servers, third-party integrations, and data processing pipelines.
- Familiarity with GraphQL APIs, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes/EKS.
- Working knowledge of AWS services (Lambda, EKS, Managed Kafka) and cloud-native patterns.
- Awareness of LLM APIs (Anthropic/OpenAI), agentic frameworks, and basic prompt engineering or evals.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with performance considerations.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain server-side features using Go/Java and a polyglot stack (Node/TypeScript, GraphQL, SQL).
- Collaborate with technical leads and stakeholders to translate requirements into AI-native, production-ready software.
- Implement safety rails and deterministic wrappers around LLM outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance for healthcare data.
- Apply software engineering best practices: testing, CI/CD, code reviews, design patterns, and automation.
- Leverage AWS services (Lambda, EKS, Managed Kafka) and containerization for batch jobs, streaming, and scalable services.
- Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes and mitigations.
- Mentor peers, participate in code reviews, and contribute to a collaborative learning culture.
Education
- BS in Computer Science, related technical degree, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3-5 years of professional software development experience on server-side systems.
