Territory Manager, Maryland/Northern Virginia

SanMar is a leading distributor of apparel and accessories working with major brands and private label customers. The company is looking for a results-oriented Territory Manager to grow profitable relationships with high-profile accounts across the Baltimore/DC metropolitan and surrounding areas, executing targeted account plans, delivering presentations, and closing complex sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver focused presentations to individuals, small groups, and sales teams; manage follow-up.
  • Plan and execute territory strategies using CRM for scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
  • Qualify customer opportunities via questioning and active listening to identify needs and recommend solutions.
  • Create and maintain action plans and schedules to nurture customer relationships and drive growth.
  • Navigate internal customer databases to locate and document account information accurately.
  • Negotiate, structure, and close complex deals emphasizing win/win outcomes and profitability.
  • Communicate SanMar’s value proposition and marketing tools effectively to external customers.
  • Plan and manage travel (air, car, hotel) to support customer interactions while controlling expenses.
  • Comply with company policies and perform other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance required
