Responsibilities
- Lead system architecture and technical direction for launch and ground support hardware, ensuring requirements, interfaces, safety, and operations are defined prior to detailed design.
- Create preliminary concepts and perform design and manufacturability reviews to guide engineering teams toward practical, buildable solutions.
- Coordinate across vehicle, launch, manufacturing, test, and ground systems teams to resolve technical issues and align work with schedule and operational needs.
- Define manufacturing, integration, and test strategies and partner with technicians and operations to support build and launch execution.
- Lead troubleshooting and root-cause investigations during hardware installation, integration, and launch preparation; make timely technical decisions under pressure.
- Support launch execution and on-site integration activities, leading technical responses to unexpected challenges during installation, testing, and launch readiness.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (required)
- Advanced degree in engineering or related field (preferred but not required)
