The Technical Delivery Manager is responsible for the day-to-day execution, coordination, and optimization of analytics and AI delivery within a distributed, consultant-focused model. This role directly oversees the work of approximately 10 consultants, ensuring that all deliverables are technically sound, adhere to established standards, and are delivered reliably.
Functioning as the primary layer of execution and technical oversight, the Technical Delivery Manager works between consultants, internal engineering teams, architecture teams, and analytics leadership. The goal is to maintain high delivery quality, strong delivery velocity, and scalable solutions across analytics and AI initiatives.
The role is accountable for consultant productivity, quality of delivery, and disciplined execution. It involves translating portfolio priorities into actionable technical plans and ensuring that AI-enabled analytics solutions are delivered in accordance with platform standards, governance requirements, and business objectives.
TECHNICAL DELIVERY EXECUTION & OVERSIGHT
Coordinate and direct day-to-day delivery activities across analytics, data platform, and AI initiatives.
Review and validate consultant deliverables to ensure technical accuracy, completeness, and alignment with established standards.
Ensure that delivery sequencing, dependencies, and handoffs are effectively managed across workstreams.
Identify execution risks at an early stage and recommend appropriate mitigation actions and escalation paths.
Enforce delivery standards and clearly defined “definition of done” criteria.
CONSULTANT MANAGEMENT & DELIVERY OPTIMIZATION
Manage the work outcomes of approximately 10 consultants across multiple initiatives.
Take ownership of onboarding, task alignment, delivery expectations, and continuity across consultant resources.
Track progress, identify blockers, and ensure consultants stay focused on the highest-value work.
Provide regular delivery feedback and performance insights to analytics leadership.
Recommend whether consultants should continue or be removed based on delivery outcomes.
Ensure rapid onboarding and minimal disruption to delivery during consultant transitions.
AI & ANALYTICS ENABLEMENT SUPPORT
Support the delivery of AI‑enabled analytics capabilities (for example, AI assistants, semantic layers, and AI‑ready data patterns).
Ensure that AI‑related deliverables align with established analytics foundations, data quality requirements, and governance standards.
Partner with Architecture and Data Science teams to ensure that AI delivery patterns are scalable and maintainable.
Help optimize delivery workflows to accelerate AI adoption and improve analytics usability.
Ensure that AI and analytics delivery follows approved architectural patterns and governance standards, without independently defining platform or model standards.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COORDINATION
Serve as the primary coordination point among consultants, internal engineering teams, and the architecture function.
Translate delivery priorities into clear technical tasks and milestones.
Facilitate day-to-day issue resolution across Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Data Science, and platform teams.
Maintain clear documentation of delivery decisions, dependencies, and risks.
QUALITY, TESTING & RELEASE READINESS
Coordinate testing activities (unit, integration, and UAT support) for all delivered work.
Ensure that all deliverables meet quality standards before release.
Support release readiness activities, including cutovers and operational handoffs.
Ensure that post‑release issues are promptly triaged and resolved efficiently.
REPORTING, COMMUNICATION & ESCALATION
Provide clear, concise delivery status updates that focus on progress, risks, and next steps.
Escalate issues early, including relevant context and recommended actions.
Support executive-ready reporting through well-structured inputs and documentation.
8 years of experience in analytics delivery, data platforms, enterprise information technology, or program delivery.
Demonstrated ownership of cross-functional initiatives with executive-level visibility.
Strong delivery discipline, including prioritization, sequencing, managing tradeoffs, and overseeing dependencies and risks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong executive-level storytelling abilities.
Experience managing consultants and vendors across multiple initiatives.
Comfortable working with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
Technically fluent in data integration concepts, platform operations, and governance patterns.
Experience with modern analytics platforms (for example, the Snowflake ecosystem, dbt, and orchestration tools).
Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics or advanced analytics delivery patterns.
Experience working in enterprise information technology or headquarters-aligned environments.
Comfortable working with Agile and hybrid delivery models.
This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.
The base salary range for this position is $112,000 - 168,000 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
